EXCITING NEWS!

After pouring over dozens of applications ,and ladies you made it hard for me and I truly appreciate of your applications! I have finally hired a wonderful perfect for us assistant!

She will be working with us from her Oregon location helping our clients since my “in office” time is so limited due to my shooting schedule.. So without further ado I would like to introduce Marisa!

On your Ipod right now? Lately I have been listening to Cat Power,
Stars, Belle and Sebastian, Spoon, Of Montreal

Tell us a little about your work with the film festival?

I also work for a film festival, and the best part about this is that I get a
chance to watch lots of amazing independent films that I otherwise
would have never had a chance to watch. (I am sure I have seen
thousands of indie films at this point!) I also meet many talented
artists from all over the world.

How did you and your fiancé meet?

My fiancé and I met back when I lived in Chicago after college. I went to rent a studio apartment and
he was the one showing it. We talked for many hours and the rest was
history.

Do you own any pets? I have two kittens

How many children do you and your betrothed hope to one day have? We want two children

Pet Peeve? People who try to cut in front of me in long lines.

On Sundays you’ll find me?

Sleeping, talking long walks, cooking organic healthy dinners and reading recipes, playing with my kittens

Guess who’s a big sister! Anyone who has been following my blog for any length of time will recognize this cutie pie!!

(don’t you love the hair to the side…that was Daddy who did that..is that not the sweetest thing???)

And Introducing sweet baby Vazyl 12 days old

Love his angelic baby fuzz and mile long eyelashes!! I think I held him a little longer then needed to just “make sure” he was fully asleep.. ;o)

Micah’s Bikes

So as you can see,we obtained a therapy bike for our shoot! These images were taken for the promotional material for a community outreach campaign called Micah’s bikes. (yes,this is Micah in the photo along with Miss Teen NJ!). Micah is a very special 8 year old boy whose special needs prevent him from riding a bicycle. He does not have the necessary motor skills to stay on the seat or push the pedals.There are many children just like Micah who have never known the simple childhood joy of riding a bike! The vision of Micah’s bikes is to provide therapeutic bikes to special needs children in families that cannot afford to make this substantial purchase.

Therapy Bike

I know it’s not my normal post,but I thought if there is any small chance someone reading my blog can help it is worth the post. I am helping a friend with her promo material for a fund raiser to help disabled children in need obtain therapy bikes.

We are planning a photo shoot with her Son and Miss NJ and are in need of a loaner bike for the shoot. This can be done at the bikes location,but we have been hitting many obstacles trying to find someone to allow us to use a bike for a 30 minute shoot.
